Tagging is twice a year and used as a major source of fundraising for the squadron. The Department of National Defense provides uniforms and funding for certain events but the majority of activities such as flying are sources from funding collected during a tagging weekend.
Because of the importance of tagging it is mandatory for cadets to participate in three of the following shifts. Friday 09 March - Shift 1: 1700-2015 Saturday 10 March - Shift 2: 1145 - 1500 Saturday 10 March - Shift 3: 1445 - 1800 Sunday 11 March - Shift 4: 1115-1430 Sunday 11 March - Shift 5: 1415-1730. Dress is full uniform with your dress shirt, pants, tie, tunique and boots for those who have it. For those that don't have a uniform please dress with black pants, and a white dress shift. Please dress for the weather as well. If the parka or a winter coat will be required please bring it along with your issued gloves.
