In response to the continuing and COVID-19 pandemic and medical advice from the Canadian Armed Forces, the Commander of Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers (CJCR), has made the decision to cancel all overnight in-person cadet training activities for the summer of 2021.
With the cancellation of these overnight courses the majority of training opportunities for the summer of 2021 will be delivered through the three Virtual Cadet Training Centers (VCTC). There are a wide variety of virtual training courses that are being offered for 2021. With a combination of instructor led, and self-paced courses, cadets will be able to earn qualifications, learn new skills, and connect with cadets across Canada. Please review the course offerings at the following link: https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/services/cadets-junior-canadian-rangers/cadets/summer-training/summer2021/virtual-cadet-summer-training.html Watch for another announcement with details on how to apply, coming soon! As we approach #VimyRidgeDay2021, we join Canadians near and far in coming together to begin a period of sombre reflection and commemoration.
We are asking Cadets, JCRs and COATS members to get involved in our commemoration efforts:
