The selection process will include a letter of introduction from the Corps/Sqn CO, letter of introduction from the Cadet and their contact details (365 or personal email address) to coordinate an interview. A comment on the cadets linguistic abilities in both official languages would be beneficial, as they are looking for members who are comfortable in both languages but not necessarily bilingual. Candidates should also ensure that their Fortress account is up to date as their qualifications and experience will be considered as part of the selection criteria. One cadet from each region will be interviewed by the Formation Chief for selection as the CAC Cadet Chair, selected based on the submissions and an interview if required. Three PAC Region members will be selected for the CAC (one from each element). Unlike last year this years CAC will be in person at CTC Connaught with at least one short off-site visit. All Cadets who apply for the CAC positions will also be considered for filling vacancies on the Senior Cadet Council Pacific (SCCP). Nominations are to be in by the 1st of May. Training on Wednesday, April 27 will be in-person for all levels. Meet at the armoury (not the blue building) at 1830h, dismissal is at 2115h. Dress will be C1, i.e. shirt and tie, for those that have uniforms.

The RCAF Foundation Student Scholarship is offered to Canada’s next generation of aviation and aerospace leaders. These scholarships are designed to assist post-secondary students in S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) areas of study who are planning future careers in the fields of either Aviation or Aerospace. 50 scholarships awarded, $1000 each. Application deadline May 9. The Boeing BC Bursary was created to assist Air Cadets in BC who are pursuing a post- secondary education that lead to careers in the aerospace industry. Two bursaries of $2,500 will be awarded. Open to all BC Air Cadets who are entering post-secondary pursuing a career in the Aerospace Industry (possible Mechanical, Technical or Engineering). Two bursaries of $2500 awarded. It's time to apply for summer training courses! Review the information on our summer training page and fill out the online form with your course request. Year 1 and 2 cadets should apply for the local CAP training and years 3 and up may apply for cadet training centre courses to be held in Vernon or Comox.
Senior cadets may also apply to be staff either for local CAP programs or at in-region CTCs, contact the CO directly if you are interested. Deadlines for submitting your request is May 11. Apply today! |
