All cadets: the regular training night for tomorrow, 21 September is cancelled due to adult staffing issues. Regular training will resume next week.
All cadets are to ensure they review CJCR Group Order (Gp O) 6003-2, Acceptable Use of Virtual Engagement Platforms and have activated their Cadet365 account. Cadet365 is necessary in order to complete national and regional virtual training and to access other online cadet resources.
The admin officer will distribute temporary passwords to those of you that have not activated your accounts. Cadets must also complete the online Cyber Awareness Course once they have activated their account. If you are having difficulty accessing Cadet365, please see a senior NCO for assistance. ![]() Online Ground School is quickly approaching. Cadets who wish to apply to the Glider Pilot Training Course or the Power Pilot Training Course must complete the online ground school’s full 45 hours of self paced content and pass the integrated selection exam to be considered for selection. Access to the online ground school is restricted to cadets who meet the eligibility criteria for the respective flying course. Applications for online ground school will be open starting 6 Sept with a final deadline of 15 Oct. Please submit your application request to the training staff. Course will begin on 1 Oct 22 and run until 14 Jan 23. The syllabus, mandatory practice exams and select ion exams will open to registered students on the first day of the course. On 15 Jan 23 access to the online ground school will close. All cadets returning for the 2022/2023 training year, please report for admin parade on Wednesday, September 7 at 1830h. Dress is C3. There will be a short briefing and you will need to revalidate your contact and medical information with the admin officer. Please bring your parent/guardian to sign forms if necessary. Note that you MUST have your revalidation completed prior to commencing training; it is a small but necessary task. Some of you must also have detailed health questionnaires completed as well. Dismissal from admin parade will be no later than 1930h.
Senior NCOs (sergeants and up) will attend a training briefing at 1930h following the admin parade. We will be going over your duties and responsibilities and you will be addressed by the squadron warrant officer. Dismissal of senior NCOs will be at 2030h. Regular training will commence on Wednesday, September 14th at 1830h. New recruits are requested to attend a recruit briefing on Wednesday, September 14th at 1900h (7pm), at the blue building in the compound next to the JP Fell armoury at 1513 Forbes Ave. There will be a brief tour for the recruits followed by a question and answer session, and an opportunity to register. You may fill out the forms available on our web site at or we can provide them to you in person. Recruits must have ID with them for registration. The official identification documents accepted are as follows: valid Canadian passport; attestation or birth certificate issued by a Canadian provincial or territorial government, or by the Government of Canada; card, visa or permit issued by the Government of Canada authorizing the person to reside legally in Canada; identification card issued by a Canadian provincial or territorial government, or by the Government of Canada. The recruit’s BC personal health number or private health insurance information is also required; please bring your BC Services Card (formerly CareCard). A parent or guardian must be present to sign forms. We look forward to seeing returning cadets on Sept. 7th and recruits on Sept. 14th! |
