We will be holding a meeting at 1900h on Tuesday evening, 22 December, to go over the application process and timeline for applying for glider and power pilot training, and answer any questions you may have. Check your email for the Zoom meeting link, or contact Lt Ferg.
All potential glider pilot training course (GPTC) and power pilot training course (PPTC) applicants must attend a pre-selection briefing about the air cadet flying program (ACFP). The presentation is intended to provide applicants for the flying courses with overview information about the ACFP, how it fulfills the aims of the Air Cadet Program, training demands, opportunities in the ACFP after course graduation, and participation expectations for graduates. The goal is to ensure potential applicants better understand the demands and expectations involved with the flight training courses, especially GPTC, while still at the pre-selection phase. The target audience is primarily cadets planning to compete in the selection process, but their parents are also encouraged to view the video and participate in the Q&A session to ensure they understand what their cadet is hoping to become involved with.
All interested and qualified (level 3 and up, with ground school experience) cadets, please email the training officer, Lt Ferg, at firstname.lastname@example.org for details as soon as possible.
Squadron training will be in the virtual format again this Wednesday, 9 December, and will continue in this format until at least the middle of January. Zoom meeting information is the same as last week, please check your email, or the squadron Slack or Discord, for details!
If cadets have problems accessing a computer, please contact Capt. Sargent immediately at email@example.com
