Flying scholarship candidates please see the "For Cadets" page to download the Flying Scholarship PIP, a self-paced study program that will help you through your ground school studies, in preparation for the flying scholarship exam. The program may also be downloaded, in whole or in part, directly from the Cadet Organization Portal.

Christmas Mess Dinner

All cadets are invited to attend the holiday mess dinner on December 13th. Cost is $10. Please sign up by Wednesday, November 29.

Burnaby North-Seymour Constituency Youth Council 2018

Terry Beech, Member of Parliament for Burnaby North-Seymour, invites Students and youth to apply for the Constituency Youth Council starting in 2018:

The Youth Council is a unique opportunity for young Canadians to represent their peers, learn more about our federal government, and to have their say on issues that matter to our local and national communities, from tackling climate change to taking action on housing affordability.

I'll meet with the Youth Council several times throughout the year to discuss important issues that matter to young Canadians on a local and national level. The deadline to apply is December 1, 2017 and is open to everyone between the ages of 15 and 24. Applications may be submitted online at: https://goo.gl/forms/TOZfk2xiX7Eb2GS23.

Throughout the year, each member will gain valuable leadership skills and earn volunteer hours. At the end of the term, all members of the Youth Council will receive a certificate in recognition of their contribution.

Remembrance Day Parade Tomorrow

10/11/2017

Cadets are reminded to report to the squadron HQ on November 11 at 0830, and to bring cadet issue parka and gloves in case the weather is inclement. Supply will be open at 0800 for cadets that still have not been issued a parka or gloves.
The squadron will march to the cenotaph with the other units and return for dismissal at 1300. Lunch will be provided following dismissal.

It is time to submit your applications for the following courses:

Power Pilot Scholarship
Glider Pilot Scholarship
International Air Cadet Exchange
Advanced Aerospace Course
Advanced Aviation Technology Course (Aircraft Maintenance)
Advanced Aviation Technology Course (Airport Operations)

All applicants for any of the above need to submit the following documents to the training officer by 2017 Dec 1 (or sooner):

cover letter introducing yourself to the selection committee
simple resume
copy of your school report card for 2016/2017 (obtain a transcript from your school's office)
