103 Squadron's first CO's parade of the training year had a special presentation marking the change of cadet commander. We thank Joshua Barnes for his service and dedication as squadron commander and welcome Christopher Hunt as our new WO1. This week marks the first Commanding Officer's Parade of the 2017-2018 training year. Parents are invited to come out and view the parade on Wednesday, September 27 at 1900 hrs in the Armoury. A parent information meeting will be held in the blue building following the parade. Refreshments will be served, and the CO will be available to answer questions.
Cadets are invited to apply to participate in the first ever Prime Minister’s Youth Council. The purpose of this council is to provide the PM with non-partisan advice on national issues such as employment, access to education, building stronger communities as well as climate change and clean growth, among others. This is an excellent opportunity for cadets to exercise their leadership ability and commitment to Canada on the national stage.
If you are interested please apply before the 1 October 2017 deadline. Application available at: https://www.canada.ca/en/campaign/prime-ministers-youth-council.html. Thanks to all cadets who participated in the annual Battle of Britain Parade this year! The weather was poor but you kept your spirits up.
The squadron "Welcome Back" BBQ this year will be held on Saturday, September 23 starting at 1530. Returning and new cadets please join us!
