Summer Training 2022

Summer Training Courses: Cadet Activity Program

The Cadet Activity Program is a locally delivered program that will be held during Summer 2022. CAP provides a fun, challenging, and meaningful experience beyond what cadets would receive at the local corps and squadron level. CAP is intended for level 1 and 2 cadets.
CAP1 is designed for 1st year cadets to expand their cadet skills by participating in local, fun and interactive community-based activities alongside other sea, army or air cadets. Activities will vary based on available community resources and will include recreation/sports, mental wellness skills, community tours/specialist presenters and practical cadet skills development. CAP1 is a five day, day only course (COVID vaccination not required).
CAP2 is designed for 2nd year cadets to expand their cadet skills by participating in local, engaging and interactive community-based activities alongside other cadets. Activities will vary based on available community resources and will include interpersonal skills, leadership tools, recreation/sports activities, mental wellness skills, and community tours/specialist presenters. Cadets are required to participate in an overnight field training exercise (3 nights) to learn and practice their survival skills. CAP2 is a 12 day course including the weekend FTX. COVID vaccination is required as this course has an overnight component.
Apply for CAP training courses (Deadline May 11)

Summer Training Courses: Cadet Training Centre

Cadet Summer Training 2022 will be offered in-person! Common courses are open to all elements, and air element specific courses are also offered. CTC training is intended for cadets levels 3 and up. Most courses are delivered in a hybrid form with both in-house and virtual components. See the CTC page at Canada.ca for more details on course durations, prerequisites and delivery models. Note that hybrid course virtual components for all courses will be held July 11-15. As these are overnight courses, COVID vaccinations are required.
Apply for CTC training courses (Deadline May 11)

Staffing Opportunities

Cadets sixteen and older may also apply for positions as staff cadets at either CAPs or CTCs. Contact the CO if you wish to apply.
