103 squadron will be holding a one-day field training exercise (FTX) on Saturday, 16 October from 0900 to 1600 hours. Junior cadets from levels one (new recruits) and two will be given training in field survival and fitness educational objectives in and around the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve (LSCR) in North Vancouver.
This training includes exercises and tutorials in shelters, signals, survival psychology, packing and hiking techniques. All eligible cadets are encouraged to attend, but space may be limited due to COVID restrictions. Parents and guardians will provide transport to and from the drop-off point at the LSCR gate at the end of Lillooet Road at 0900 hrs. Pick-up is at the same place at 1600 hrs. COVID protocols are in effect, all cadets must wear a mask at all times and maintain 2m separation. Cadets, you must fill out the sign-up form to indicate your intention to attend.
