We have received word from the hosting squadron that the Winter Arrow FTX has been cancelled due to adverse conditions. The next exercise 103 squadron will be participating in will be Spring Thunder, scheduled for 27-29 March.
As of today, the Winter Arrow FTX is still on. Given the weather, all cadets attending Winter Arrow must ensure that they are adequately equipped with cold weather kit. Standard combats are not sufficient, please wear layers: a wicking layer (i.e. thermal underwear), a warming layer (fleece, etc.), and a waterproof layer. Waterproof boots are a must, and enough clothing to keep a dry layer on all weekend is also required.
Conditions are variable: dress for snow and rain, the cold and the wet. Be safe!
If you have not already, please download the kit list and permission form: annex_g_-_permission_form___kit_list.pdf. Bring a completed form with you.
Due to the ongoing weather situation, all cadet activities for Thursday, 16 January are cancelled.
The Fall Thunder field training exercise starts tomorrow! All attending cadets please arrive at the squadron headquarters Friday between 1530 and 1600 hrs for transport to the training site. Return time will be approximately 1430 on Sunday.
Cadets must have a signed permission sheet with them in order to board the bus. There will be a brief kit check as well. Here is the kit list and permission sheet for reference.
Please note that we are not able to provide dinner on Friday evening, although snacks will be available. All cadets should bring a bagged meal to eat on the way to the site.
