Volunteer service is a key part of the Air Cadet training plan and a requirement for completing each of the cadet training levels. As part of this, 103 squadron will be participating in a community service activity in support of the North Shore Mountain Bike Association on Sunday April 28 from 0900 to 1400. We will be conducting trail maintenance on the Lower Expresso Trail on Mount Fromme. This will be a fun but strenuous outdoor activity involving digging and moving earth and rocks, so please dress appropriately and bring water and a snack. FTUs are authorized.

UPDATE: form registration fixed! 135 Bell Irving Squadron invites cadets from area squadrons to join them for a senior cadet dance on 4 May from 1900 to 2200 in the Anderson room at the Seaforth Armoury. Cash only canteen on site. Cadets shall dress and conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively as members of the CCO (ref CATO 15-22; 5019-6 Annex A - Cadet Code of Conduct). Dress is appropriate casual attire, semi-formal encouraged. Clothing items should cover shoulders, must have an appropriate length, and should not be ripped. Any inappropriate dress items such as clothing displaying violent or discriminating prints will not be tolerated.
Transportation to/from the Seaforth Armoury is the responsibility of the cadet. Register online by 23 Apr. 692 RCACS is hosting Operation GAME OF THROWS, an inter-unit ultimate frisbee tournament, to be held on 12 May at UBC Thunderbird Arena. 103 squadron needs a minimum of 7 players, including at least one female and one junior cadet. Meal provided, transport is via parental pickup/dropoff. Register online by 24 April.
Two single-day field training exercise activities are available to all cadets. These exercises are multi-unit area directed activities and are an opportunity for cadets to participate in a non-overnight FTX. Maritime Forces Pacific (MARPAC) is once again hosting Fleet Week from 2-6 May 24 in North Vancouver, with Cadet targeted opportunities available on Sat, 4 May 24 at the Burrard Dry Dock Pier. Available activities are ship tours, day sail, rigid inflatable boat rides. Sign up at the cadet ADA registration form. Spaces are limited, register by Sun, 28 Apr 24.
